Gain an understanding of a resilient working culture and what your organisation needs to cultivate this in the return to in real life work.

With the return to real life work on the horizon and theatres rapidly turning thoughts to physical productions, it is essential to consider how the instability and trauma of the past year will affect this. This is unchartered territory; the temptation to rely on old systems to ground us will be strong but they may no longer be fit for purpose when in the pursuit of centralising wellbeing within our professional practices.

This webinar will focus upon the need for a recovery strategy which places wellbeing and resilience at the fore. What are the questions you need to ask in order for everyone to feel safe and supported upon return to in-person work?

It is essential to acknowledge the instability and fear people will feel in returning to work, and how vastly diverse personal experiences will shape this.

You will develop your own Organisation Resilience Checklist for the return to work, aimed to support leaders, employees and freelancers. The checklist will concentrate on three phases: preparation, short-term environment and longer-term aims for embedding resilience into the new-normal for theatre; looking towards the sector as we would like it to be.

At the end of this webinar you will:

  • Gain an understanding of a resilient working culture - and what isn’t
  • Explore what has changed during the pandemic
  • Identify what your organisation needs (what is currently impacting resilience?) and generate ideas of what could increase resilience
  • Identify the possible barriers to manifesting the ideas
  • Create an Organisation Resilience Checklist

Intended audience:

  • Senior leadership, general managers, producers, technical and production managers
