Lou Platt, Artist Wellbeing Practitioner
Lou has been developing the role of artist wellbeing practitioner since 2012, which draws upon her 17 years experience as an arts-psychotherapist, clinical supervisor and theatre based performer-writer. She has supported theatre practitioners and production teams through R&D, rehearsal, performance or touring processes. Lou has provided consultancy for theatre organisations and venues, offering solution focused guidance that centralises wellbeing in working practices. Lou was lead consultant on developing wellbeing-policy and procedures with theatre company China Plate. She has facilitated workshops with the staff at the Oxford Playhouse covering topics such as ‘Anxiety & Resilience’, ‘Communicating with Care’ and ‘Boundaries and Best Practice’.
