Lessons from Lockdown: Creating theatre, dance and performance for digital audiences

As part of the BBC’s Culture in Quarantine programme, The Space supported the creation of 25 new works themed around lockdown.  For this free webinar, which The Space are hosting in association with Arts Council England, we’ve asked the creators of three of the pieces to share insights from their productions.

They’ll discuss how they rose to the challenge, what worked and what didn’t. We’ll find out what existing skills, methods, and resources proved super useful, what workarounds and digital tech made their vision possible, and how they used the constraints of lockdown as inspiration or impetus to make work that’s resonated with audiences on digital platforms.

Join our speakers to hear more about how they made the pieces whilst adhering to social distancing, share your experiences from across theatre, dance and performance of the last few months, and discuss how those might inform creative production in future.
